Your Mission
We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and highly organized Research Operations Specialist who can help us deliver a smooth, reliable experience for sites and study participants, while continually improving how our operations scale.
This role sits at the intersection of research operations, customer support, and product/engineering. You will own site queries, analyze adherence and site compliance, identify patterns, investigate issues end-to-end, and drive operational improvements that reduce friction and prevent problems before they occur. You´ll reduce the volume of technical and data requests going to our technical teams by handling first-line investigations yourself.
We are looking for someone who thrives on taking initiative, spotting inefficiencies, asking “why?” until the real answer emerges, and seeing improvements through from idea to analysis to implementation.
This is a full-time role working EST hours, Mon-Fri, based in Canada (fully remote/ work from home).
The Role
Scaling Research Operations
- Help build a more predictable, robust operational system across multiple concurrent research studies
- Partner with Research Ops, Data, Product, and Engineering to simplify workflows and set clear standards.
- Help improve adherence monitoring, data integrity, site training, and support processes.
Analytical Problem Solving
- Investigate issues using logs, dashboards, raw data, and internal tools before escalating.
- Analyze adherence or operational data to spot trends, anomalies, and root causes.
- Use no-code or AI tools to automate workflows and reduce manual work.
- Provide clear, structured diagnostics when escalation to colleagues is needed
Operational Improvements
- Take ownership of process gaps, inefficiencies, and recurring issues, from first detection through to concrete actions that improve reliability and scalability.
- Work closely with Engineering to implement improvements to the product, dashboards, workflows, and SOPs.
- Work with the research team to develop documentation, training materials, knowledge bases, and internal guides.
Customer Success & Site Support
- Support study sites and study sponsors with helpful, concise communication about data patterns and adherence issues
- Ensure issues are resolved quickly, accurately, and with appropriate follow-up.
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in clinical research, clinical operations, or similar analytical operations roles.
- Comfortable exploring data and running basic analyses
- Outstanding analytical thinking: ability to frame questions, interpret data, and identify patterns.
- Excellent written communication skills: clear, structured, concise.
- Comfortable being the operational “detective”: persistent, curious, and thorough in finding root causes.
- Someone who takes initiative, spots what needs improving, and drives changes through
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, and data teams.
- Familiarity with research workflows (clinical or academic), adherence monitoring, or study-site support is a strong plus.
