Senior Full Stack Developer

Your Mission

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, your mission is to design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable systems that power our applications. You will take ownership of both backend and frontend development, ensuring our systems handle time-series data efficiently and meet the high standards required in critical domains such as healthcare.

What You´ll Do

• Lead backend development using Python, building robust APIs with Flask and FastAPI
• Develop and maintain frontend components in React, collaborating closely with UI/UX designers and other developers
• Manage and optimize databases using PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB for efficient time-series data handling
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, SQS); experience with Google Cloud is a plus
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure deployment consistency and reliability
• Build observability systems with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog
• Champion code quality through automated testing and comprehensive test coverage
• Collaborate on architecture by participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We´re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• English fluency for effective communication with our international team
• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience with Python as your primary backend language
• Strong SQL and database design skills, particularly with PostgreSQL and time-series data (TimescaleDB experience highly valued)
• Proven React experience with the ability to deliver polished frontend features
• API design expertise with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and best practices
• Hands-on AWS experience including Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, and SQS
• Infrastructure as code proficiency using Terraform
• Familiarity with observability tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog

Bonus Points

• Prior experience building applications in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance, etc.)
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Role Details

• Type: Full-time
• Location: Fully remote with a preference for candidates based in or near Barcelona for occasional in-person collaboration with the team
• Time Zone: Flexible, but significant overlap with European business hours preferred
